COVID-19 Update

On March 18th, 2020 Missouri Gov. Mike Parson announced that the local municipal elections that were scheduled for April 7, 2020 have now been postponed until June 2nd, 2020 in response to COVID-19.


  • Had the highest voter turnout in its history?  
  • In Ward One: The Candidates Tied with each receiving 187 votes?
  • In Ward Three: The Candidates were separated by only FOUR votes?

2019 proved EVERY VOTE counts and that YOUR 2020 VOTE can make a difference.

How to Vote in Parkville

Step one:  Be a Registered Voter.  The deadline to register is March 11th, 2020, in order to vote for the 2020 elections.  See below for more information.

Step two:  Make a plan to vote!   All Parkville residents vote at the Parkville Presbyterian Church (819 Main Street, Parkville, Mo). Figure out what time you’ll vote! Can you carpool with friends and family?  


Step three: Make sure you know the facts. 

  • The City’s general election is non-partisan.
  • The term of office for aldermen is two years.  Anyone elected this election, will remain in office until April 2023.
  • While there are four wards in Parkville, only Wards 1, 2, and 3 are contested elections.  
  • Alderman Sportsman in Ward 4 is running unopposed.

How to Register to Vote in Parkville

A resident who is at least 18 years or older may register to vote. You can register to vote at most public offices, including libraries, schools, city and county offices and the Department of Motor Vehicles. 

There is also an online application provided by the State which streamlines the process for you.
